Defining Roark is impossible. We are ever-evolving, but what our company stands for is constant:
Our founder, Dean Garman, "retired" from his print business in Wichita, Kansas and moved to beautiful Northwest Arkansas with every intention of spending his days fishing. His plan didn't last for long. Dean noticed the lack of printers providing service to the area and decided to open Roark Printing with his sons, Ron & Don. The Garman guys operated from Dean's garage for a year.
After a year in operation in Dean Garman's garage, the Garman guys moved Roark Printing to its first warehouse home.

In 2002, Roark Printing became The Roark Group to reflect diversification after the company expanded product and service offerings to include custom builds and trade show and event rentals and services. Roark's growth called for expansion of production facilities, as well. In July of 2002, the company moved from 13th Street to a new 100,000 square foot home on 35th Street in the Rogers Industrial Park.
In 2006, the leadership reigns of The Roark Group were handed to Tyler Garman, grandson of founder, Dean. Tyler grew up in the shop, filled several part-time roles during college, had worked as a Prepress Operator, and then IT Manager, before becoming Vice President of Operations, and finally President.
In 2015, The Roark Group was sold the management team of Tyler Garman, Dave Erickson, and Jerry Marti. Tyler Garman remained as President, Dave Erickson as Vice President, and Jerry Marti became Chairman.
The Roark Group acquired Dymark Sign & Display of Rogers, Arkansas in 2018, a digital and wide-format printing company serving the region since 1987.
The Roark Group acaquired Meeks Group of Tulsa, Oklahoma, a visual production company serving the region since 1961. Meeks brought expanded print capabilities, graphics installation expertise, and direct mail capabilities to the Roark family. The name, facility, and team were retained.
The Roark Group acquired Kapture Marketing of Bentonville, Arkansas in 2024, a print, design, and marketing firm serving the region since 2018.
