plan + design + build + source + ship + install + tear down + fulfill

Walmart is a major sponsor of the country's largest music festival targeting African-Americans, Essence Music Festival, and uses the expo as an opportunity to showcase new tech, opportunities, and inclusion efforts to that audience, in addition to operating a pop-up shop. Roark plans, designs, sources, builds, ships, installs, and removes Walmart's large-scale presence in the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, La.

“I have been blessed to work with one of the most talented, creative, and customer-oriented event production teams in existence: Roark. They consistently surpass expectations, not only providing exemplary service, but they have a determination to never say “No,” and instead “Tell me more. We will figure this out.”  They don’t look at challenges as road blocks, but rather as an opportunity to think outside-the-box and create new ways of making magic happen. I have had the pleasure of The Roark Group being the primary production partner for Walmart’s execution of Essence Festival for over 10 years. Every year this event gets better and better. The attendees, as well as our fellow brand peers, notice that we continue to raise the bar of excellence and push everyone to do and be better than the previous year. From the stage look-and-feel, experiences, pop-up locations…Roark does it all. In addition to the corporate work that Roark has executed for me, they have been one of the most reliable partners I’ve encountered for the non-profit work that occurs in our community. They are truly philanthropic and support organizations that aim to make Northwest Arkansas a better place. From program printing, to photobooth development, to structural creations…they are a company that wants to see success for everyone they work with.”
